We are proud to have contributed to the award-winning State of Georgia Capitol House & Senate Chamber Renovation project alongside our joint venture partner, Balfour Beatty US, and Garbutt Construction Company. This recognition reflects the dedication and collaboration of our client, partners, and project team. We are honored to be part of a project that will leave a lasting impact on Georgia for years to come.

Through its Empowering Hope initiative, SG partnered with Shepherd Center to support the organization’s Patient & Family Dinner. SG team members helped prepare and serve meals to more than 125 patients and their families, providing support and connection during their rehabilitation journey. SG is proud to support Shepherd Center’s mission of delivering life-changing care and making a meaningful impact in the community.

SG Contracting congratulates Grant Huyghe on his promotion to Senior Project Engineer. This well-deserved recognition reflects Grant’s dedication and strong work ethic to growing within the construction industry. As part of the SG Contracting and McCarthy joint venture team at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Grant has consistently demonstrated a commitment to project success. SG appreciates Grant’s contributions and looks forward to his continued growth with the team.

SG Contracting completed construction of Thrillz Atlanta, a new indoor entertainment destination designed to bring adventure and family fun to the community. The 56,000-square-foot facility transformed a former film production space into an immersive experience featuring more than 20 attractions, including zip lines, climbing walls, trampolines, obstacle courses, bowling, arcade games, laser tag, and virtual reality experiences. The facility also includes a soft play area, toddler zone, food service amenities, and party spaces.

SG supported the Global Village Project by volunteering at its new school campus in Decatur, helping prepare the facility for students’ arrival. Team members completed landscaping improvements, planted greenery, and enhanced outdoor spaces to create a welcoming environment. SG is proud to support the Global Village Project’s mission of empowering refugee girls through education and appreciates the partnership and support that made the campus improvements possible.

SG Contracting has been selected to support the Chastain Park Conservancy Transformation Project, a major initiative to enhance one of Atlanta’s most treasured public spaces. The project will introduce improvements including a new pedestrian bridge, ADA-accessible trails, boardwalks, playground amenities, and other features designed to improve accessibility and outdoor recreation. SG is honored to partner with the organization and the project team to help create lasting benefits for the community and future generations.

SG Contracting is proud to announce the promotion of Jesus Escalera to Safety Manager. Jesus has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to jobsite safety. In his new role, he will continue to strengthen SG’s safety culture while supporting safe, efficient operations across every project.

Members of SG Contracting and SG Consulting participated in an Earth Day Cleanup in partnership with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, supporting local environmental stewardship efforts. Team members helped remove debris from Cowboy Creek and restore surrounding wetland areas, contributing to the health and sustainability of local waterways. SG is proud to support initiatives that create a positive impact in the community and appreciates the opportunity to partner with organizations dedicated to environmental conservation.

SG Contracting participated in the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Northside Youth Organization’s future gym facility. The new gym will provide a dedicated space to support youth athletics, mentorship, and community programs, creating lasting opportunities for young athletes and families. SG is honored to partner with Northside Youth Organization, TVS, the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation, and the project team to help bring this vision to life.

SG Contracting volunteered with Agape Youth & Family Center in support of its “Meals for Kids” program, helping provide meals for students participating in the organization’s after-school program. Team members contributed their time to support children and families throughout the community, reflecting SG’s commitment to giving back. Through its Empowering Hope initiative, SG continues to partner with organizations that create meaningful and lasting impact in the communities it serves.

SG Contracting congratulates founder and President Sachin Shailendra on being recognized by James Magazine as one of the “2026 Most Influential Georgians” for the second consecutive year. The recognition highlights his leadership and commitment to strengthening Georgia’s business, nonprofit, and construction communities. We’re proud to recognize Ian Herndon on his promotion to Controller, reflecting his hard work and commitment to SG Contracting’s continued success. Since joining SG as Assistant Controller in November 2024, Ian has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. Through his dedication, initiative, and hands-on approach, he has strengthened our accounting systems, streamlined financial processes, and contributed to the company’s continued growth.

SG Contracting is honored to serve as the commercial contracting partner for The Atlanta Opera’s new Molly Blank Center for Opera and the Arts, a 56,992-square-foot performing arts complex designed by Post Loyal Architecture. The new campus will feature performance venues, rehearsal and educational spaces, administrative offices, and six acres of green space designed to bring creativity and community together along the Atlanta BeltLine.

SG Contracting’s project team supporting the restoration of the Georgia State Capitol was recently recognized by Speaker Jon Burns at the start of the 2026 legislative session. The recognition highlighted the collaboration and dedication that contributed to the successful restoration of the Senate and House Chambers within Georgia’s historic Capitol. SG is proud to be part of a preservation effort that honors the state’s history and helps protect this important landmark for future generations.

Team members donated toys and coats to help provide warmth and holiday cheer to children and families throughout the community. SG Contracting’s project team at the Legislative Office Building, alongside Balfour Beatty US and project partners, supported the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation through a holiday toy drive. Together, the team collected more than 300 toys to help bring joy and support to children in the community during the holiday season.
