Kennedy Space Center

SG Contracting Inc. was selected as one of the team members to construct the new home of the Atlantis Space Shuttle. The facility will be the marquee element of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s and Delaware North Companies Parks and Resorts’ master revitalization plan. The home of the last space-flown orbiter includes an area to view videos of the space shuttle in flight and how the spacecraft worked in space. A unique viewing area is also available for guests to look at the complex vehicle up-close. Complementing the orbiter display are interactive features including the Hubble Space Telescope and the International Space Station. At the entrance to the Atlantis exhibit is a full-size upright replica of the external fuel tank and solid-fuel rocket boosters.
