McCamish Pavilion

SG Contracting was selected as one of the design-build team members for the renovation of McCamish Pavilion. McCamish Pavilion is a state-of-the-art basketball facility and the home of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. This renovation included reconstruction of the seating bowl, the addition of an upper level balcony, club seating, and the expansion of the concourse and plaza area. This construction took place while maintaining and stabilizing the original 1950s-built dome roof structure and its 32 steel support beams. Special attention was required to maintain the intimate atmosphere of The Thriller Dome.
